The historic Fishbowl at EMU is open again to the public. The old cafeteria is gone and the remodeled space, including Stabucks, is complete. The remaining vendors—Chipotle, Joe’s Burgers, Subway and Panda Express—will open later this fall.

All UO undergraduate students, including incoming students, are now eligible to receive the Meningitis B vaccine. It is strongly recommended that all undergraduates be immunized against Meningitis B.

Immunizations will be available for incoming students during IntroDUCKtion sessions in 245 Straub Hall or at a partner pharmacy location. See your IntroDUCKtion schedule for clinic times and other information.

1. Hold a bake-off with your friends, and shamelessly devour all the entries. Whomever’s is gone first, wins.    

2. Write anonymous friendship letters to your besties and place them in their backpack or on their windshield when they’re not looking.

3. Snapchat your best dirty love poems to everyone you know with a sense of humor.

4. Third-grade throwback: Give out tacky cards and pieces of chocolate to classmates.

Everyone tells you to go see your professors during office hours, but what do you say? We’re not all extroverts—talking to new people is intimidating! Assuming you don’t have a specific question to start, you need something to talk about. So, here are 5 topics that will get you in the door and chatting with your professor.
