Strategic Communications

Quiet Period: December 22, 2025–January 5, 2026

The Strategic Communications team will observe a quiet period from December 22, 2025, to January 5, 2026, to rest, recharge, and focus on internal projects. During this quiet period we will not assess incoming project requests. We will resume assessing incoming requests after we return on Monday, January 5, 2026.

As of July 1, 2025, the Career Center has moved from the Division of Student Life to the Office of the Provost. Effective November 1, 2025, communications support will be through the Provost’s Office and Wrike requests for the Career Center will no longer be accepted through this interface. Please connect with the Provost’s Office for any Career Center communications and marketing needs.

Plan Ahead

To support revenue and retention efforts across the Student Life division—especially during peak periods—we’ve established submission deadlines for projects needed within the first month of each term.

The dates below enable us to effectively assess and prioritize projects across units to inform whether they can be completed by Strategic Communications, addressed at the unit level, or reassessed. Please submit your marketing and communications requests, including all necessary details, by the deadlines listed:

Additional Considerations

Certain projects may require extended timelines due to their complexity or external dependencies. Several notable areas are highlighted below.

  • Vendors: Initiatives involving external vendors may require additional time for procurement, contracting, legal and IT processes and reviews.
  • Printing: Large-scale printing projects typically need three to six additional weeks to produce after work is completed based on printing complexity and vendor production capacity.
  • New marketing campaigns: Strategic campaigns requiring new messaging, creative assets, multi-channel promotions, and/or
technical infrastructure to deliver a cohesive audience experience often need six months or more for effective deployment after project agreement and goal setting.
