Two Ducks Win National Honors for Service
Morgan Plew and Marc Caputo are stellar examples of student leaders making real change for their communities and our campus – and have received national recognition for their efforts.
A project of the Division of Student Life and the Athletic Department called “Duck Crossing” was an experiment designed to bridge perceived divides between students and student-athletes at the university. The project went so well, participants are hoping to replicate it every year.
When Peter Hollens graduated from the UO back in 2006, he could have never imagined that he’d be on the Commencement stage— especially as the graduation speaker!

Did you receive an email about the Campus Climate Survey on Sexual Assault and Sexual Misconduct recently? (Check your UO e-mail for it.) Have you filled it out? The more students who fill it out, the more we will learn about how to best address sexual assault on campus. The survey is confidential, and the feedback will be used to make campus safer. 1. Hold a bake-off with your friends, and shamelessly devour all the entries. Whomever’s is gone first, wins.
2. Write anonymous friendship letters to your besties and place them in their backpack or on their windshield when they’re not looking.
3. Snapchat your best dirty love poems to everyone you know with a sense of humor.
4. Third-grade throwback: Give out tacky cards and pieces of chocolate to classmates.
