Everyone tells you to go see your professors during office hours, but what do you say? We’re not all extroverts—talking to new people is intimidating! Assuming you don’t have a specific question to start, you need something to talk about. So, here are 5 topics that will get you in the door and chatting with your professor.

Mark your calendar for exciting events February 9 and 10, 2015. Richard J. Davidon, founder of the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds, University of Wisconsin at Madison and Clifford Saron, director of the Shamatha Project at the University of California at Davis will be on campus for a research symposiaum, keynote leacture, mindfulness showcase, and consecutive workshops as part of our Common Reading program.

7 Ways to Duck the Rain

1. Rain Jacket: 

​​It’s best to have a least one rain jacket at your disposal so you can make it to class on those rainy days in a semi-dry fashion. Rain jackets can be found in any clothing store because let’s face it, it’s Eugene—and it  rains a lot here.

2. Umbrella:

Although this item is frowned upon by some Oregonians, it can be a classy and dry way to get to class. Just don’t hit anyone in the head.
