Welcome From the Vice President—September 24, 2014

Hello Fellow Ducks,

Welcome to the University of Oregon! Whether you’re a first-year student or a senior about to graduate–or somewhere in between–we’re glad you’re a Duck!

To our newest Ducks, my staff and I want to make sure you have an exceptional experience here at Oregon. We are going to make sure you are challenged, have lots to do, have a place to build a community and make new friends. And, to our returning Ducks, I hope your summer brought family, friends, fun and a chance to recharge and prepare for another year.

As a Duck, I hope you will always strive to make good choices, be active and engaged, and discover the interests that will drive your passion. When you chose the UO, you chose an amazing community, and in our community, we believe that taking care of one another is a big part of what it means to be a Duck.

I am thrilled to be part of such an amazing community that is innovative, energetic, and diverse. As an engaged community, we are always sharing ideas and searching for ways to improve and grow. If you have an inspired idea or feedback that could help us enhance Student Life, please feel free to e-mail me.

Best of luck for a great year,

Vice President Robin Holmes, Ph D
