The Grocery Shuttle is a collaboration between @uo_ducknest and @duckrides. This service provides free transportation to affordable grocery stores off campus.
This spring term we’ll be heading to WinCo and Trader Joe's on Sundays and Thursdays, and Sunrise Asian Market and El Torito starting Week 3 on Wednesdays! Locations rotate each week (find the full spring schedule below). Students will have an hour to shop before being transported back to campus (with stops at either the the Knight Law Center or HEDCO Education building). RSVP by following the link below!

When: Take Back the Night is on Thursday, April 25th, 2024 starting with the Rally at 6:00pm followed by the March at 7:00pm and Student-Led Speak-Out at 8pm.
Where: Rally begins in the EMU Amphitheater at 13th and University St. followed by an approximately 2.5 mile March from the UO Campus through the streets of Eugene and back to UO Campus in the EMU Diamond Lake Room where the Student-Led Speak Out is held.
Who: The UO Women’s Center in collaboration with the UO Campus Community (UO Muxeres, UO Duck Rides, UO Green and Yellow Garter Band and more).
Thursday, April 25th, 2024 marks the 46th annual Take Back the Night Rally, March and Speak-Out Against Sexual and Domestic Violence event for the University of Oregon Campus Community. Take Back the Night is a yearly international protest founded in 1976 which seeks to raise awareness about the realities of Sexual and Domestic Violence on campus and in the community, both for Survivors of Sexual and Domestic Violence and those who want to support and bear witness in solidarity. Take Back the Night is a Survivor-Centered event that begins with a Rally in the EMU Amphitheater, continues as a March through the streets of Eugene to symbolize reclaiming people’s safety on public streets at night, and ends with a Student-Led Speak-Out on campus during which Survivors can share personal stories of how Sexual and Domestic Violence has impacted their lives.
The Rally will feature UO Student Speakers from diverse intersecting identities and lived experiences, including the Native American Community, Latine Community, LGBTQIA2S+ Community, International Community, Disabled Community, a Child Abuse Prevention Advocacy Organization and more.
Our theme for this year’s event is addressing the DUALITY that Survivors can hold on their path to healing - throughout both their radical joy & rightful rage - as they ultimately reclaim their power. As well, we will continue to center marginalized communities too often left out of essential dialogue about Sexual and Domestic Violence - despite being disproportionately impacted by these systems of oppression. As always, the Women’s Center is committed to providing this essential event to support Survivors, educate the community and prevent future harm.
ASL Interpretation will be provided at the Rally. This event is wheelchair accessible and will have transportation available during the March and back to Student-Led Speak-Out. We ask that no UO Professional Staff or Media be present during the Student Led Speak-Out portion of the event to provide a sacred space for students to have dialogue circles of peer-to-peer support. Event will take place **rain or shine** (rain is currently forecast) and is free and open to the public. We support and believe survivors in ALL WEATHER! Masks are not required but highly encouraged. Nicolle Merrill has spent the last 6 years working at the intersection of education, AI and design. In 2019, she published the book Punch Doubt in the Face: How to Upskill, Change Careers, and Beat the Robots to help employees at all levels adapt to AI in the workplace. Prior to working in AI, Nicolle worked in coaching and executive training at Yale School of Management. She founded Boring AI to combine her love of training with her background in Ai to help people build critical AI literacy skills for a rapidly changing workplace. Nicolle has spoken at conferences in the US and internationally. She’s never met an audience she didn’t love.

Self-defense isn’t just learning how to fight. It’s also learning how to set clear boundaries and stand up for yourself while maintaining healthy, positive relationships.
In this supportive and empowering workshop, we will introduce you to a range of physical, verbal, and emotional skills that can help you recognize and thwart perpetrator tactics, reduce your risk of sexual assault, and feel more comfortable in your daily interactions. All techniques are simple, easy to learn, and effective regardless of fitness or experience level.
This workshop is open to all self-identified women and non-binary people who are comfortable in a space centered around experiences of those who identify as or may be perceived as women.

The Grocery Shuttle is a collaboration between @uo_ducknest and @duckrides. This service provides free transportation to affordable grocery stores off campus.
This spring term we’ll be heading to WinCo and Trader Joe's on Sundays and Thursdays, and Sunrise Asian Market and El Torito starting Week 3 on Wednesdays! Locations rotate each week (find the full spring schedule below). Students will have an hour to shop before being transported back to campus (with stops at either the the Knight Law Center or HEDCO Education building). RSVP by following the link below!

Humbly formed in 2015 by a group of professional musicians passionate about Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead, JMF started honing its one-of-a-kind sound at LA speakeasies and beachside dive bars. Audiences of all ages instantly fell in love and soon JMF was playing to packed rooms from legendary stages throughout California, Oregon, Arizona, Colorado, and Washington — dazzling new fans on the scene and pulling even the most discerning Jerry fanatics out of their seats for the first time in decades.
The magic all starts with lead vocalist and guitarist Garrett Deloian. As a seasoned veteran of the blues circuit, he channels his lifelong love for the work of Garcia into every lick with his unparalleled mastery and tone. Drummer/founder Rodney Newman, a student of The Dead/JGB since his youth, leads the band’s reliable and relentless rhythm section. Rodney’s kick shares the bottom end with the steady and inspired bass playing of the multi-talented Son Vo. Learn the joy of fixing your own bicycle with in-depth instruction from Bike Program mechanics. This six-session course will teach you to repair and maintain a standard road, mountain, or commuter bike including lessons on flat fixes, hub overhauls, wheel truing, bottom brackets, brakes, drivetrains, and derailleurs.
This course goes from Weeks 3-8 on Tuesdays from 5:30pm-7:30pm. It starts April 16th and ends May 21st. This class meets at the OP Bike Program (EMU 008). This class is open to students and community-members.

The 2024 World Tour brings films from the 48th annual Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival to more than 40 countries around the world. From an exploration of remote landscapes and mountain cultures to adrenaline-fueled action sports, films in this year’s world tour are sure to captivate and amaze the explorer within you.
The film festival is on Tuesday, April 30 and Thursday, May 1. Both nights, doors open at 6pm at the show runs from 7pm to 9pm. This event will take place at McDonald Theater (1010 Willamette St). This event is open to students and community-members.

The 2024 World Tour brings films from the 48th annual Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival to more than 40 countries around the world. From an exploration of remote landscapes and mountain cultures to adrenaline-fueled action sports, films in this year’s world tour are sure to captivate and amaze the explorer within you.
The film festival is on Tuesday, April 30 and Thursday, May 1. Both nights, doors open at 6pm at the show runs from 7pm to 9pm. This event will take place at McDonald Theater (1010 Willamette St). This event is open to students and community-members.

This spring term we’ll be heading to WinCo and Trader Joe's on Sundays and Thursdays, and Sunrise Asian Market and El Torito starting Week 3 on Wednesdays! Locations rotate each week (find the full spring schedule below). Students will have an hour to shop before being transported back to campus (with stops at either the the Knight Law Center or HEDCO Education building). RSVP by following the link below!

"This blend of technology development and problem solving makes me excited to go to work every day in the Bowerman Sports Science Center," says Dr. Hahn, a professor of Human Physiology who also serves as an Associate Director of the Wu Tsai Human Performance Alliance at Oregon.
In his talk, "Boosting Performance and Improving Human Health," Dr. Hahn will share his expertise as a biomechanics specialist whose research is focused on lower limb musculoskeletal biomechanics, injury prevention and performance enhancement. He will demonstrate how new sensor technologies and the use of machine learning algorithms are helping to train faster runners and more nimble soccer players — and changing the game for players in all sports. He will explore questions of athletic performance and how new innovations in sports science are making a broader impact on human health.
Science Knight Out is a community science lecture that is open to the public and is sponsored by the University of Oregon Phil and Penny Knight Campus for Accelerating Scientific Impact. The Craft Center is excited to welcome our spring 2024 visiting artist, Frank Gosar. Frank has been creating pottery for over 30 years as Off Center Ceramics. His work will be on view in the Craft Center Gallery from April 1 - June 7.
