Make a Difference on Campus. Get Involved!!!
Student Conduct Committee- Four
faculty representatives and four student representatives meet every other
week to discuss making changes to the Student Conduct Code. Code change
recommendations then go to a public hearing and ultimately to the University
Senate before changes can be implemented. Anyone can submit proposed changes
to the committee. If you want to make changes to the Conduct Code, ask
to be involved in this committee.
University Hearings Board-The
University Hearings Board (UHB) hears formal cases involving students who
are accused of violating the Student Conduct Code. The University Hearings
Board is a panel composed of students and faculty and is charged with
maintaining the high standards of the UO community. Cases can range from
academic dishonesty and plagiarism to drug dealing and sexual misconduct.
The UHB is one of the few entities on campus that can actually suspend
or expel a student found to have violated the Student Conduct Code. UHB
members therefore possess a great amount of responsibility in upholding the
best interests of the UO community and of the charged individual. UHB
members are ultimately approved and appointed by the Associated Students
of the University of Oregon (ASUO). If you think you possess the qualities
required to be a UHB member, please apply!

University Appeals Board-This committee, made
up of three students and three faculty members, hears appeals of formal
hearings heard by the hearings board. This committee meets on an as-needed
basis.
All three committees are great ways to get involved on campus and effect
change in the community in which we live and study.

you are a faculty member, you can also contact the committee on committees.
If you are a student, you can contact the University Affairs Coordinator
