CHILD CARE

ASUO Child Care Subsidy- University of Oregon Student Parents may be eligible for assistance to cover up to 50% of their childcare costs. Eligibility is need based. Undergraduates and graduate students, residents and nonresidents are eligible. Assistance is available for either on-campus care or centers or registered family childcare providers in the community. Applications are available on line or by calling 346-3724. Families with a parent or guardian at home are not eligible.
Campus Child Care Grant- This funding is available to cover cost of care for 15 families whose child is at a University affiliated child care center. Student must be an undergraduate Pell Grant recipient. They need to meet ASUO Subsidy and Head Start eligibility guidelines. The grant covers 75% of child care costs. Applications for this program are available through the ASUO.

Family Ford Scholars- This private foundation funded scholarship is allocated to a limited number of single parent families. It provides almost full funding of childcare and additional assistance. Applications can be obtained through the University Office of Financial Aid.

Childcare And Development Centers (CCDC)
This multi-site program is administered by the ERB Memorial Student Union and includes sited in the union building, in houses on the east side of campus and in Westmoreland Family Housing. Services are available for children ages 12 months through the first grade. CCDC has provided high quality childcare for the University community for over 30 years.

The daily schedule and activities create opportunities for each child to develop skills as a young learner and socially. A wide range of scheduling options, designed to meet student parent needs are available. Full-day and part day schedules are available. Student families have priority for admittance to vacancies in the programs and receive a discount.
