It is unlawful to carry a concealed weapon and unlawful to possess a weapon while on University of Oregon grounds. In addition, UO housing regulations do not permit the storing of weapons in residence halls or Family Housing units. As a convenience, the Department of Public Safety provides weapons storage facilities for university-housed students with 24-hour access.

In addition to possible criminal penalties, any weapons violations on or off campus may result in either suspension from, or severance of, the relationship with the university. This policy applies within or upon the grounds, buildings, or any other facilities of the university.
