Who is an alumnus of the University of Oregon?

Anyone who’s ever taken classes at UO – regardless of graduation status. The role of the Alumni Association is to keep alums updated and connected to the university through the Alumni Insider newsletter published four times a year. The association contact information is: http://alumni.uoregon.edu or (541)346-5656. Their motto is:
“The University of Oregon Alumni Association fosters meaningful lifelong
relationships between alumni and the university, and builds alumni support to enhance the university’s understanding as a premier institution of higher education.”

The Alumni Association funds scholarships for incoming students and sponsors one of the largest endowed Presidential Scholarships on campus. They also assist the university’s legislative advocacy efforts through Alumni Advocates.

While You’re a Student
Current students can be involved with the Alumni Association through the Student Alumni Relations Board (SARB). SARB is student volunteer organization designed to develop leadership and promote university spirit and traditions.

In conjunction with SurvivalKit.com, SARB distributed over 15,000 free coupon books to students and staff during the first week of winter term 2004. The book has pages of valuable coupons with everything from pizza to tattoos!

SARB also provides campus involvement opportunities with pre-game parties, blood drives, community service projects, conferences, and much more!

After you leave the University of Oregon
You have the opportunity to be a member of the Alumni Association. Once a member, not only do you receive the newsletter, you will have opportunities for discounts from restaurants to on-campus benefits. There are also special events planned for alumni clubs from Los Angeles to Boston.
